TV5 News and Information or News 5 (formerly ABC News and Public Affairs and TV5 News and Public Affairs) is the network's News and Information programming block of programs aimed at reporting with militancy for change and action since April 2010.

is TV5's first ever investigative news show on TV5 Philippines every Saturday. The show is currently hosted by former ABS-CBN, RPN, DZAR, and DZXL anchor Erwin Tulfo, who also hosted Sapul! and Aksyon's "Presinto5" segment. The show started on March 13, 2010.

The thirteen official housemates including the mole of the Big Brother house - Carlo are challenged with new task by "Kuya" Big Brother. The housemates are challenged to ride a pedicab that has incomplete wheels around the house for a couple of rounds. Carlo, Biggel and Kigoy are the ones that did their best doing the task. Kigoy told the other housemates that he is very good with their task because he has a background in doing it. When Kuya already told the housemates to do the task, Kigoy performed the task very well. The housemates were successful with their challenge and each of them went inside the confession room. When it is Biggel's turn talking to Kuya (Big Brother), he shared his life experience without a father. Biggel grew up without his father around and he looked for his father when he was already a teenager. Later on, Kuya told Carlo to get inside the confession room for them to talk about Carlo's impossible tasks. Kuya asked Carlo about an update if he is doing all his impossible tasks well. Carlo told Big Brother that he have done his best in performing his impossible task for him to stay inside the Big Brother house. Reminiscing that Carlo is the Big Brother mole wherein he must do some impossible tasks for him to stay inside the Big Brother house. One of Carlo's impossible task is to find a Henna tattoo on his housemates body. Carlo must find six Henna tattoos for him to be successful with his impossible task. Since Carlo have not found any henna tattoo yet, Big Brother gave him another chance to look for one. After awhile when the housemates are gathered at their dinning table, Big Brother called the unofficial housemate. Carlo stood up and went inside the confession room again wherein the other housemates are surprised to know that he is the Big Brother mole/unofficial housemate.

this is a story of two best friends who are very close to each other at first but things became different after an incident. Ester (Ara Mina) is very loyal to her best friend - Eva Linda (Rica Peralejo) wherein she is going to do her best for Eva's sake. Ester boost Eva's confidence by telling her to act as if the scene is real and relate it to her life experience. Eva listened to Ester's piece of advice and she was successful with her acting. After that incident, Eva can not live a day without her best friend - Ester at her side. Then came a day that Ester needs to leave Eva alone because Ester's daughter got sick. Eva tried to stop Ester from leaving but Ester insisted that she must be with her daughter that is sick. Eva got disappointed with Ester and insulted her telling Ester that she doesn't want to see her anymore. Ester went home to her husband - Ranny and her sick daughter wherein her husband is not happy to see her back home. Ester and her husband argued with each other because Ranny doesn't want Ester to work away from them. Ester told Ranny that she supposed to stay with them if only he looked for work. Days passed and Ester went back working at the parlor wherein suddenly she is surprised to see her old friend - Rolly (Archie Alemania). Ester and Rolly went strolling in a nearby river wherein Rolly admitted his feelings towards Ester. Ester told Rolly that she can not love him back because she already have a daughter and a husband. Rolly then told Ester that he is willing to wait for the right time for her to love him back since she is not married to her husband. When Ester's daughter is already okay, Ester went back working as Eva's personal assistant. Ester gave all her time to her best friend - Eva but then came one day that Ester was accused of stealing Eva's necklace. Ester told Eva that she is not the one who stole her necklace because she can never do such thing. Eva didn't mind Ester's explanation and this broke their friendship. Ester went back to her home town to be with her own family. Ester's husband became a drunkard wherein he and Ester finally broke up. After Ester and her husband - Ranny broke up, she then said yes to Rolly and they became a new family. Ester became rich while her best friend - Eva's career started to fade. So now that Eva is starting to become poor, will she ever ask for Ester's help and ask forgiveness after all the insults she gave to her?

Dario (Jake Cuenca) was very happy that he got already a power to fight against the malignos and aswangs. He then thinks of having revenge for the death of his father. The old man who gave him the Adarna then showed and reminded him that to be successful he should not think of revenge. A few moments later, he heard a man crying out for help. He then approached towards the direction of the man. He then stops and remembered the saying of his father. That for him to beat the enemy he should not be afraid to do something. He succeeded in helping the man. The man thanked him for saving his life. Before the man left, he asked for the name of the hero. Dario introduced himself as Darmo Adarna. The following day, the man then narrated what had happened to him. Everybody at the store of Aling Caring (Yayo Aguila), were seriously listening to the man. Mickey then interrupted and said that may be that Darma Adarna is just a fake. That night, Lucy went to visit Dario at the forest. She was very worried for her friend who is now living alone in the forest. Lucy asked what he does with the house his father had left. Dario said that he would just leave it to his step mother Aling Selya (Mickey Feriols) and step brother Mickey. When Lucy was about to go, Dario volunteered to accompany her. But Mickey then arrived and insulted Dario. He boasted that he is capable of saving Lucy from the supernatural. On their way home, the two were arguing. Mickey suddenly stopped when he noticed that a kapre was atop the tree. Mickey then ran leaving Lucy behind who collapsed. Meanwhile, Dario was at the store of Aling Selya and he saw Mickey running to the store direction. He had known that Lucy was taken by the Kapre. Dario then rushed towards the forest. And he transformed to as Darmo Adarna. He had save Lucy from the Kapre. Darmo volunteered in accompanying him in going home. Lucy was surprised when the hero knows about the name of her mother. Darmo told her that they were classmates during the elementary years. Lucy told him that she remembers all her classmates’ names. And she knows none of them is named Darmo.

Contrary to her initial statements to the police, Ramona Bautista admitted on Friday that she was not abducted on the evening of her brother Ramgen Revilla's murder, but denied she had a hand in the crimes committed last week.Ramona said she did not tell the truth when she told police that she was abducted by the killer on October 28, the night that her brother was shot and stabbed to death, and her girlfriend, Jannelle Manahan, was shot.In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN's Gigi Grande on ANC's Dateline Philippines, Ramona confirmed that she was inside the house when an attacker entered their house in BF Homes in Parañaque City.She said she had been talking to Ramgen about getting an iPhone video that they had wanted to share with another sibling in Baguio. A lone attacker wearing a mask then entered Ramgen's room and shot Jannelle first, causing Ramgen to fight the attacker. After a scuffle, Ramgen then entered the room and locked the door. Two members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) were killed while 3 government militiamen were hurt in an encounter in Tulunan town, North Cotabato Thursday morning, the military said.According to Brig. Gen. Manuel Luis Ochotorena, deputy commander and spokesman of the Army's 6th Infantry Division, about 50 rebels attacked the militiamen and members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team around 4:30 a.m. near New Bunawan village.Ochotorena said the rebels were led by one Commander “Kaming” of the MILF's 109th Base Command.The firefight lasted for 3-and-a-half hours before the rebels withdrew and fled towards Columbio town in Sultan Kudarat.The injured militiamen were identified by Ochotorena as village chairman Hermogenes Obrique, and Teng Laman and Moises Laman.Ochotorena added that aside from the 2 fatalities, several.MILF rebels were also injured. Human Rights Commissioner Jose Manuel Mamauag visited the encampment of Waning Abdusalam at Sitio Talahib, Barangay Labatan in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay on Thursday.Mamauag said he saw craters created by the bombardment initiated by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Abdusalam’s camp.But he was glad to know that there were no residential houses or structures damaged in the attack. Mamauag said tension in the area was still evident as residents were notably afraid to talk about Abdusalam’s group.The mayor of Payao informed Mamauag that Abdusalam’s group was first sighted in Sitio Talahib July this year. While they do not consider him a high-risk detainee, the police in Laguna said they are taking extra measures to secure the suspect as they are not discounting the possibility that Capili could be harmed by Charice's fans, radio dzBB said.Meanwhile, the report said Capili's lawyer will work to downgrade the charges against him from murder to homicide. Coast Guard operatives rescued the passengers of a motor banca that capsized before dawn Friday while on its way to Cebu from Bohol. The banca "RD Express" was on its way to Cebu City when it capsized off Hilutungan Island and Cordova town in Mactan Island, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported.Philippine Coast Guard Cebu head Rolando Punzalan Jr. sent a search-and-rescue unit to the area where the passengers and crew were rescued.A separate report on Bombo Raydo said there were some 100 passengers and crew members who were rescued.
